Aurélien Veyrat and Lauriane Beaunier regularly collaborate on projects that require their complementary skills. He is a designer and trained woodworker whose practice brings together manufacturing processes, art and design, while she specializes in art direction, colours and materials.
Aurélien created his studio in 2008, and leads different types of projects at the same time: from private to public, from object to setup, from design to art, he is renowned for his technical knowledge, his conceptual approach and his imagination. He works as much with industrial manufacturers and brands as with renowned artists and architects such as Jean Nouvel. In parallel, he edits new optimized furniture systems, such as his "L" module, which has been integrated into the collection of the French Mobilier National.
Lauriane has worked as a material colour designer for 10 years in the automotive and sports industries. In 2013, she decided to set up her own studio and teach at the Arts Décoratifs school in Paris where she had studied. She advises companies on their strategy, positioning and creations, using her knowledge of colour, patterns and materials. She gives direction and guidance to projects and sometimes even follows them through to their sale and exhibition.
She provided Orchid Edition and Aurélien with her colour approach for the Virage stool while Aurélien studied its construction and ergonomics: a real team effort!
